Codes and Conventions of a Music Artist Website

The main thing that the website needs to have to be effective is that it has to be clear, logical and easy to navigate.
As you can see from the Skrillex website on the left it is very clearly laid out. At the top of the page says the artists name in the same font and style as it always is so its easily recognisable. Underneath that are the hyperlinks leading you to all of the parts of the website.



Although this website does mainly follow normal codes and convetions it does go against them occasionally. In this case the Skrillex website doesnt have the normal grid system, its laid out more like a blog with live updates people will be intersted in. At the side of the website it has some of the main hyperlinks from the top of the page but with more information about it. For example, with "Tour" it has the upcoming dates in it.
